Garner is home to nearly 27,000 people just a few miles to the south of downtown Raleigh, NC. You may have heard of Garner in recent years as the home of recent American Idol winner Scotty McCreery.
Garner boasts over 350 acres of parkland and a business economy that is strong and growing.They have a fantastic sports and rec program for kids and residents of all ages. White Oak Shopping Center, located at the intersection of Hwy 70 and I-40 is filled with large scale shopping and numerous popular restaurants.Garner is continuing to grow with the opening of a new Cabela's in spring 2015 where they are hiring hundreds of new employees.
Garner may be in the shadow of Raleigh, but they are the real deal when it comes to being a small town. The 4th of July celebration at Lake Benson Park every year draws thousands of people from all over.
The Town of Garner was named one of 10 All-America Cities for 2013.

Clayton is recognized as a top place to live in our area boasting an outstanding value in housing as compared to other parts of the Raleigh market as well as a strong reputation for their schools. Something I really like about Clayton is that it's not just a suburb of resident commuting to Raleigh, it has its own economy with a number of larger companies based in and around the community.
However, keep traffic and location in mind if you will be commuting to and from Raleigh, Cary or RTP. Clayton is very spread out and can present challenges to commuters. You can come out a winner if you plan your commute just right. You can commute to North Raleigh from Clayton
The downtown section of Clayton is popular boasting a small town atmosphere with local businesses, a few restaurants and a small, outdoor farmer's market at one end. Monster Batting Cageson Main Street in is a popular indoor batting facility and shop for local baseball and softball players. Events like the Clayton Shindig;featuring a day of live music, BBQ and beer draw people from all over the area! There is also an annual Halloween parade and Christmas parade.
